What this is

Octolus is a brand and a family of independent ventures. This website is informational, plus a demonstration environment called The Reef. Using the site means accepting these terms.

Nothing here is financial advice

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell a security, an investment recommendation, or financial, legal or tax advice. Descriptions of ventures are descriptions of work, not solicitations.

The Reef and $REEF

The Reef runs on Solana devnet, a test network used for development. The $REEF token exists on devnet only. It has no monetary value, is not for sale, cannot be exchanged for money or any other asset, and carries no expectation of future value or entitlement of any kind. It exists so visitors can try the mechanics.

We may reset, re-mint, discontinue or change the demo at any time without notice. Devnet is a public test network we do not operate and which can be reset by others.

Your wallet is yours

You are solely responsible for your wallet, its keys and its security. We will never ask for a private key or seed phrase, and any message that appears to come from us asking for one is fraudulent. Signing in asks you to sign a plain text message to prove ownership — read what your wallet shows you before signing anything, here or anywhere else.

The chat is answered by a language model. It can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and its answers are not statements of fact, promises, or advice. For anything that matters, ask a person at info@octolus.io.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to this site or its services, scrape it in a way that degrades it for others, or use it to distribute unlawful content. We rate-limit and block abuse.

Availability and liability

The site and the demo are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee availability, accuracy or fitness for any purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this site, the demo, or any blockchain network it touches.

Third parties

Links to our ventures and to external sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for the content or practices of sites we do not run.

Intellectual property

The Octolus name, wordmark, spiral mark, creature artwork and site content belong to Octolus unless stated otherwise. Please do not present them as your own or imply an association that does not exist.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the updated version.
